Romans 3:21
But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. The righteousness given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.

Our righteousness can be obtained through no other way than faith in Christ Jesus.  When we truly believe in Jesus we place our faith and trust in Him.  This brings to mind a verse in 2 Corinthians 5:21
God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

This verse explains so clearly how God made reconciliation of mankind to Himself possible.  All our sins were placed on the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary.  We must beware of any idea that on the cross Christ actually became sinful, that is false.  Our sins were placed ON Him, but they were not IN Him.  There is a huge difference between these two thoughts and we must be very sure that we fully understand that Christ never committed one sin.  He was God in the flesh when He was on this earth and therefore incapable of sinning, but the penalty of o ur sins were in fact placed on Him.

His blood atoned for our sins because of who He is, God’s one and only Son (Romans 3:21-31).  It is the only sacrifice for our sins that God will accept, when we place our faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sin we become righteous before our Holy God, we are covered by His blood, now when God looks at us He no longer sees our guilt, He sees the innocence of Christ!  What a precious act of love our wonderful Savior has done for us.   He left the glories of heaven to come to this wicked world that He knew would mock and hate Him, that would use and abuse Him, and eventually shout out to have Him crucified.  In my human mind I simply cannot understand why He loves mankind so, but I am ever so thankful that He does!

We will never be able to thank Him enough for all the love, mercy, and grace that He has shown us but we can dedicate our lives to Him and obey His Word out of a grateful loving heart towards our awesome Lord and Savior who redeemed us at such a great price (Romans 12:1).

Thank You my sweet Lord Jesus for dying for me, help me to live for You each day and bring You all the honor and praise in the process. I love You my Prince of Peace, my King of Kings, and I worship You this day with a thankful heart, Amen!
