The vision to start a powerful contemporary church in the Stafford/Fredericksburg area came to Pastor Willis in 2005.  God showed him how he would use him to raise a generation of people from all walks of life to come together and make a change in the community.  Pastor Willis prayed, meditated, and prepared in 2006 for the task set before him.  In the fall of 2006, he met with various religious and local leaders and entities to share the vision and raised the financial support needed to move forward with the vision of the church. Pastor Willis assembled a cohesive core team and prepared to launch the church.

On September 16, 2007, the vision was birthed, Vision Community Church (VCC) held its first church service at North Stafford High School with 298 people in attendance. Pastor Willis' vision for VCC consists of a 5-10-15 ministry strategy. In the summer of 2010, VCC relocated to Joshua Road.  This move was truly a move of God. Many ministries were established and community relationships were built through a host of community outreach events.  To name a few, VCC sponsored Outdoor Worship and Picnic in the Park; Community Bowling Events; Harvest Festival; Free Back-to-School Hair Cuts partnering with Positive Image Barbershop.  The church progressed on faith and purchased seven acres of land for the future worship center. But in the year of 2011, God had a plan for VCC that would change the history of its journey.  VCC relocated to Deacon Road in Fredericksburg to a church facility of over 20,000 sq ft at a value of $2.1 million dollars.  God is truly amazing.

But that’s not it, God was still working His plan for VCC, in October of 2014, a season of elevation. Pastor Willis was consecrated as a Bishop in the Lord’s church and also appointed to the position of 1st Presiding Prelate of Global Empowerment Fellowship of Christian Churches.  Deacons and Elders were ordained and Ministers were licensed.  VCC then established its Council of Elders.

VCC future project is to build a state-of-the-art church complex.  This facility will be completed in phases and will consist of a Sanctuary, Family Life Center, Children's Jesus Gym, Youth Center, Fitness and Wellness Center and will showcase a premier music studio.  Also many additional ministries will be created and implemented to meet the community needs. VCC has been blessed by the hand and favor of God.  We will continue our mission which is to be an international church committed to reaching all people in the community by the power of God, to encourage, edify, equip and empower and transform your lives.
