Galatians 4:4-5
But when the time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights as sons.

In verses 1-7 of Galatians 4,  we have some stellar verses of Scripture!  I would encourage you to read them.
In verse 4 we read that when the time had fully come God sent Jesus to this earth to be born of a woman under the Old Testament law.  Jesus was born to an Israelite family, the Israelites were under the law. As the Son of God, the Lord Jesus would have never been under the law; He was the One who gave it.  But He graciously lowered Himself to be put under the law that He made in order to magnify it in His life, and take on it’s curse in His death. What love He has for us!
We needed to be redeemed before God because no one could keep His law.  Jesus was fully God and fully man so He could come to this earth and be the final sacrifice for sin.  Because He is God, His death was infinite in value, it was sufficient to pay for any sinner.  Because He was Man, He could die as a substitute for man.  Govett says, “Christ, by nature Son of God, became Son of man, that we by nature sons of man, might become sons of God.  Wonderful exchange!”
Through faith in Him and His blood our sins are forgiven before our holy and righteous God (Hebrews 9:12, Ephesians 1:7, Romans 3:25) and we become His children and also heirs with Christ.  What a position before God Christ has given us through His death and resurrection!
Now that we have become sons of God we have His Holy Spirit indwelling us and enabling us to live our lives in obedience to His Word so that we may be a good testimony to the yet unsaved around us.  The unsaved in this world are watching every move we make when we are around them, they want to see just what this God that we claim and worship is like.  How much has He changed our words and actions?  What they see in our behavior may either entice them to want to know more about Christ, or turn them off completely depending on how much of Christ we let shine through us.

Thank You Jesus for coming to this earth and redeeming me to God. Thank You for making me His child and ensuring my citizenship in heaven. I love You so my precious Lord and Savior and I honor You this day, Amen!
