Isaiah 25:1 NLT

Lord, you are my God;
    I will exalt you and praise your name,
for in perfect faithfulness
    you have done wonderful things,
    things planned long ago.

Chapters 25-27 of Isaiah are songs of praise to God from the Israelites. And yet they can also be songs of praise from those of us who have become God’s children through faith in the blood of Christ for the forgiveness of our sins.

God is indeed perfectly faithful to His children. He has promised to never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), He has promised us that no one will snatch us away from Him (John 10:28-30), He has promised that all our needs will be met (Matthew 6:28-34), and He promises us that all things will work out for our good when we follow Him (Romans 8:28). God is always faithful to keep His Word for He cannot lie (Numbers 23:19).

What a blessed assurance we have in God through Jesus Christ His Son!  He has done wonderful things for us, things planned long ago.  Did you know that God has had a plan for you since you were in your mother’s womb?  And it is not just any plan, but it is a plan mapped out by God Himself, a plan that is spectacular.  This is why it is so crucial for us to be constantly seeking His will for our lives instead of our own.  His will is perfect and ours is flawed.  When we follow His plan for our lives there will be such joy, peace, and satisfaction.  When we follow our own human will it will bring distress, heartbreak, and unrest.  Staying in communication with God by reading His Word and through prayer is key to knowing His will for our lives.  James 1:5 (NLT) says,  “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

Romans 12:1 tells us to give our bodies as living sacrifices to God, to not be conformed to this world and the patterns by which it operates. We are God’s children and the goal of our lives should be to bring honor and glory to Him by living in obedience to His Word and wisdom, and by showing love, mercy, and kindness to those in our world.

Thank You Father God for loving me, Thank You for Your faithfulness and for Your perfect plan for my life.  Though it was hard at times, I know you were working on me and leading me to you.  I thank you for my lesson, the old and the new.  I believe you when you say you love me and I trust you to never leave me.  Lord continue to help me to know Your will when I see it and to bring honor and glory to You all the days of my life, In your precious Son Jesus' name I pray, Amen!
