Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

1 Timothy 4:15-16

Our “true and proper worship” to God is total commitment to Jesus Christ His Son.  It is seeking His will for our lives.  In view of His mercy towards us, this is not too much to ask.  He willingly laid down His life so that we could live eternally with Him, surely we can seek to live a life that is in obedience to God’s Word and therefore pleasing to Him!

It is a choice that we must make daily, sometimes hourly.  The indwelling Holy Spirit enables us to live for Christ, but we must be willing to surrender to Him, to obey His calling, and by doing so we are living out our faith in Jesus.  We are saying to Him that He is worthy to be obeyed, and that He always knows what is best for us in life. We are telling to all around of His great love for us.
