While we are waiting, however, we are to live as the redeemed people that we are. Christ died not only to save us for eternity but to give us lives here on earth that are pure and holy before Him through the shed blood of Christ and the indwelling of His Holy Spirit. When the unsaved look at us they are to see a glimpse of our Savior through our words, attitudes, and actions (2 Corinthians 3:18, Ephesians 5:1-2).

We are reflections of Christ in this world, the question is, are we accurate reflections or are we inaccurate reflections? When unsaved people observe us they will think of Jesus what they think of us! I don’t know about you, but this makes me even more committed to seeking Him in all that I say and do.   When I stand before Him I want to know that I did my best to follow Him and that my heart was purposed to seeking and living His perfect will for me.

We who know Christ as Lord and Savior are His very own people! How cool is that? Jesus Christ calls us His very own. What a precious position we are in because of the work of Christ at the cross. Is it any wonder that we love Him and are eager to please and obey His Word in our lives for His glory!

Thank You my wonderful, awesome Redeemer for coming to this world and letting mankind reject and mistreat You all out of Your love for me. Thank You for shedding Your blood and rising again so that my sin debt to God is paid in full. I love You, the Author and Finisher of my faith and give You all praise this day, Amen!
